old off to new off

06/07/07 - 12.30pm : existing office. Something are packed already or else it will not look like these. Lady in red is my boss.

06/07/07 - 4.15pm : my existing workstation after everything goes into the dustbin & boxes. Knowing that I will get a clean new table at the new office, so it's only fair that I leave my place as clean as new for the person who's going to take over my place.

06/07/07 - 3.30pm : these are the plants I have in my office. Our section has been well known for being the 'Nursery' of our floor... you know lah who to thanks for for popularising the culture of nurturing plants =p see above (pic 1) another batch of plants to be transported =p hehe

06/07/07 : In our effort to help save the world we live in, papers are being shredded and sold to 'paper recycler'. Actually ho, that is the secondary reason, the primary reason is that we want to use the collected money to eat at 8-course dinner at Maju Palace Restaurant =D terrible leh

06/07/07 : hehe.. my 'personal items' & 'foods n groceries' from office saying hello.

06/07/07 : hehe..more of them saying hallo. They are all excited to move to their new place. They are the star of the day...everyone who sees them pointed to them and laughed =D

06/07/07 : I realised that packing needs alot of skills, energy & time... especially when come to not keeping things that we do not need (in other word, hoarding).

06/07/07 - 4.30pm : Once sealed, smileys can no longer jump around anymore. They are waiting to be transported in a BIG BIG lorry to new home =D

06/07/07 - 5.05pm : This is where I'll be sitting ... wonderful view ... the river and most importantly... LOTS of sunshine for all my plants. They will 'fai go cheung dai' happy =D

06/07/07 - 5.10pm : view of new office..when the sun is still shining bright.

06/07/07 : oops... sorry for the mixed up, I was told this is my place lah... malunya =p got 'KELUAR' sign view and LOTS of fluorescent lights shine. Still my plants will 'fai go cheung dai' =)

06/07/07 - 5.40pm : Got NBTD while waiting for smileys to arrive, we have our photos taken. I'm glad I have good support both LM on my right & June on my left.

07/07/07 - 10.30pm : auspicious day. Wanted to reach office at 07:07:07am too, but didn't managed to make it as we went for roti telor breakfast =D kekeke....

07/07/07 : some of the things that makes me comfortable (n allows me to sleep) in the office =)
LM, June & me are implementing a 'clean table policy' and 'biological clock policy' meaning we shall leave office when the central aircond is off at 6pm as our body may not be able to adapt to the new temperature.
Thanks to all who has helped us with the 'moving' =)
Claim your pizza from us at 1pm on 09/07/07. Counter 8 is open for 15 minutes. While stock last =)

pay faster, pay lesser

Starting July 1, BNM announced that credit card holders who pay bills promptly – either in full or the minimum amount, for 12 consecutive month – will enjoy a reduced interest rate of 15% from 18% per year.

Those who pay at least minimum repayment due to promptly for at least 10 out of 12 month cycle will be charged a maximum interest rate of 17% p.a.
Defaulters will be charged the current interest rate of 18%p.a.

3rd anniversary

Today mark the 3rd anniversary of this blog..

Knowing how forgetful I can be ... this blog at many times reminded me of pages of my life.

It helps to keep my mind occupy at times when I needed to prevent my mind from negative thoughts.

Maintaining and updating a blog is not difficult but neither is it easy... somehow I'm just glad I didn't stop nurturing this now 3 year-old blog.

and thanks alot to you (yes, YOU) for coming by. It may be what keeps me going.

Hopefully, I'll still be updating anniversaries upon anniversaries ....

I do not mind looking back at the silly things that 'mama' do or 'grandma' do with my kiddies and grandkiddies. Cause that's when I can tell them "yalor, that's why don't be so silly like mama / grandma. I'm sure you can do better right? "

For you, mummy

Mummy,
Especially for you mummy.
I love you always.

Because you love me

I know I’m a strong girl because mummy, you told me so. Actually mummy, I’m so much stronger. All your daughters are strong girls, just like you.
Mummy, I know you always have your own ways loving us and guiding us.
And I know it’s always the best you give us.

I’ve learnt from you that life is full of ups and downs. That the sun will shine after the rain.
Another rain may come but there will sure be shine after the rain.
I’ve learnt from you that we shall stand up again after we fall and continue walking.

We know you’ll be looking after us from above … blessing us with love and abundance.

Mummy, we may not be perfect children and we will never be. We may not perfect parents and will never be. But put us together and we will be the best combination we would ever be.

Mummy, I love you always…… this is all I need you to know.
And we’ll take good care of daddy.

Because you love me

For all those times you stood by me
For all the truth that you made me see
For all the joy you brought to my life
For all the wrong that you made right
For every dream you made come true
For all the love I found in you
I'll be forever thankful mummy
You're the one who held me up
Never let me fallYou're the one who saw me through, through it all

You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you loves me

You gave me wings and made me fly
You touched my hand I could touch the sky
I lost my faith, you gave it back to me
You said no star was out of reach
You stood by me and I stood tall
I had your love I had it all
I'm grateful for each day you gave me
Maybe I don't know that much
But I know this much is true
I was blessed because I’m love by you

You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you love me

You were always there for me
The tender wind that carried me
A light in the dark shining your love into my life
You've been my inspiration
Through the lies you were the truth
My world is a better place because of you

You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you love me

Would like to thanks all of you for being there for me always. I may not have the time to reply to all your messages but please be assured that I’ve received and read all the messages sent.
I’m touched by all of your thoughtfulness and sincerity.
It’s with all your support and care that I stood up again after falling down.
Need not worry as I’m starting to sprint a little already.

footprints in the sand

One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it: "LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."
The LORD replied: “My son, my precious child, I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

we reap what we sow

I fall in love with this story the moment I read it .... very meaningful

A successful business man was growing old and knew it was time tochoose a successor to take over the business.
Instead of choosing one of his directors or his children, he decided to do something different. He called all the young executives in his companytogether.
He said, "It is time for me to step down and choose the next CEO. I havedecided to choose one of you."
The young executives were shocked, but the boss continued, "I am going togive each one of you a SEED today -- one very special SEED. I want you toplant the seed, water it and come back here one year from today with whatyou have grown from the seed I have given you.
I will then judge the plantsthat you bring, and the one I choose will be the next CEO."

One man, named Jim, was there that day and he, like the others, received aseed.
He went home and, excitedly, told his wife the story.
She helped him get a pot, soil and compost and he planted the seed. Everyday, he would water it and watch to see if it had grown.
After about threeweeks, some of the other executives began to talk about their seeds and theplants that were beginning to grow.
Jim kept checking his seed, but nothing ever grew.
Three weeks, four weeks, five weeks went by, still nothing.
By now, otherswere talking about their plants, but Jim didn't have a plant and he felt
like a failure.

Six months went by -- still nothing in Jim's pot.
He just knew he had killed his seed. Everyone else had trees and tall plants, but he had nothing. Jim didn't say anything to his colleagues, however.
He just kept watering and fertilizing the soil.
He so wanted the seed to grow.

A year finally went by and all the young executives of the company brought their plants to the CEO for inspection.
Jim told his wife that he wasn't going to take an empty pot. But she asked him to be honest about what happened.
Jim felt sick at his stomach, it was going to be the most embarrassing moment of his life, but he knew his wife was right. He took his empty pot to the board room.
When Jim arrived, he was amazed at the variety of plants grown by the other executives.
They were beautiful -- in all shapes and sizes.
Jim put his empty pot on the floor and many of his colleagues laughed.
A few felt sorry for him

When the CEO arrived, he surveyed the room and greeted his young executives.
Jim just tried to hide in the back. "My, what great plants, trees and flowers you have grown," said the CEO. "Today one of you will be appointed the next CEO!"

All of a sudden, the CEO spotted Jim at the back of the room with empty pot. He ordered the financial director to bring him to the .
Jim was terrified. He thought, "The CEO knows I'm a failure! Maybe he will have me fired!"

When Jim got to the front, the CEO asked him what had happened to his seed.
Jim told him the story. The CEO asked everyone to sit down except Jim. He looked at Jim, and then announced to the young executives, "Behold your next Chief Executive! His name is Jim!"
Jim couldn't believe it. Jim couldn't even grow his seed. How could the new CEO, the others said.

Then the CEO said, "One year ago today, I gave everyone in this room a
seed. I told you to take the seed, plant it, water it and bring it back to me today. "But I gave you all boiled seeds; they were dead -- it was not possible for them to grow.

All of you, except Jim, have brought me trees and plants and flowers.
"When you found that the seed would not grow, you substituted another seed for the one I gave you. Jim was the only one with the courage and honesty to bring me a pot with my seed in it. Therefore, he is the one who will be the new Chief Executive!"

If you plant honesty, you will reap trust
If you plant goodness, you will reap friends
If you plant humility, you will reap greatness
If you plant perseverance, you will reap contentment
If you plant consideration, you will reap perspective
If you plant hard work, you will reap success
If you plant forgiveness, you will reap reconciliation
So, be careful what you plant now; it will determine what you will reap later.

Love knows no boundary

Today at Bangsar LRT station bus stop, I’m touched by the people I saw.
As I walked past the bus stop on my way to submit some documents,
I saw a couple … the girl leaning against the guy’s chest … the guy’s arms envelope the girl and whispered something to the girl. I see smile on the girl's face.
Thinking it’s another PDA (Public Display of Affection) by a lovey-dovey young couple, I didn’t pay much attention to them.
It was later however, on my way back that I saw that
The guy with his arm stretch out was holding the camera phone for the girl
While the girl communicate with someone over the phone using hand sign language.

And at that spur of the moment, I feel warmth in my heart.

Love means we love the person as a whole, weaknesses, impairments and all.
Love in its truest form knows no boundary … nothing

life's little pleasure too

Gardening ... I know it sounds like a hobby for the retired ... but I grow to love this process of renewing life - planting, nourishing, nurturing and watching them (the plants) grow.

Guess it's either me getting old (aging) fast or me 'hangat hangat tahi ayam'. Either way, it's still an inexpensive hobby to start with and helps to green the world =)

Wonder how these plants had blossomed?? Stay tuned :) hehe

life's little pleasure

I love the feel, the colours, the environment & the diversification in this photo :)

I was very happy feeding the fishes when this photo was taken. I fed 3 packets of fish pellets (1 packet sponsored by Addy) while waiting for the rain to stop.

This is what I called life little pleasure. I didn't know that I could have a great deal of fun feeding and watching fishes eat.

'Peaceful' Trip a.k.a 'Taiping' Trip (1)

Taiping ... The 'wettest' town in Malaysia
It also happen to be a 'peaceful' town. Taiping ... in chinese simply means 'peaceful' and indeed very true .. the town lives up to its expectation of being what it's called

Our buddies in support of Visit Malaysia Year 2007, decided to give Perak state a try.
Why not since we've heard that Ipoh is full of pretty girls :p they say you'll see one everywhere you turn :D
So, we turn everywhere during the trip .. left, right, left, right, U-turn and U-turn

They say you'll have to go through alot before you find 'peacefulness' and we did ;p
We've been through hot & cold, bitter & sweet, high & low, rain & shine, thorns & all.
We've learnt to appreciate what little we have ... those precious eggs :D
We've learnt to appreciate good friends who are there for us to lean on ... woi, pandang mana lagi ...refering to you all lah :p
learnt that we need to have our feet firmly on the ground
We learnt to persevere (a.k.a not falling asleep) because we know there's light at the end of the tunnel

Had a great time matching the photos to our story?? kekeke.... =p

At the 'peaceful' kingdom, I found my inner peace
and learnt that we may differ but we can leave in peace
like the animals ... because we respect one another

Taiping lake told me : Life is a cycle. Life has many stages, as long as you find peacefulness in every stage, you'll be fine.
and to Chai Yee po po : thanks alot. I love holding your hand and talking to you =)

'Taiping' trip a.k.a 'Peaceful' Trip (2)

I pray that this 'peacefulness' will continue to be with us.
and 'Peaceful' town will continue be 'Taiping'

We may have different directions and different way, but I'll always appreciate that you are always there for me. Thanks for being part of my life, buddies =)

and to my dear, can I have a small request to be with you till old ages and have this photo taken again?

Life is meant to be beautiful. Peace is everywhere.. especially in our heart. Find peace and happiness will stick to us... always =) Give thanks & appreciate =)

Thanks to everyone for making this trip so 'peaceful' .... including the uncles at the Ipoh chicken bean sprouts shop that keep giving me directions to so many caves =p that I didn't even manage to remember one =p

Happy Mama's Day

To my mama,

I grew up not listening to you..
You say ONE, I say TWO, THREE, FOUR but never ONE
You have listened attentively to me for 26 years and I know you'll continue listening to me without missing a single word.

I hold your hand yesterday and I can feel your motherly love nurturing my soul.. telling me whatever may come, you'll always be there for me.

I LOVE YOU, MUM
I ALWAYS DO

who loves you very much
just like how much you loves grandmas
but just doesn't want to tell them so...

you know he loves you when ...

I stumbled upon this article from 'The Malaysian Women Weekly' magazine..
okie lah... I'm not the kind that believe love can be gauged through a series of questions ... but sometimes curiousity kills ... we just can't resist knowing how much we are loved ;p
caution : proceed with care. some of it may not be applicable to us :)

you know he loves you when ...
1. He lets you use his new laptop unsupervised ... not with everything is password protected
2. He walks your doggie. In broad daylight.
3. He holds your handbag for longer than a minute you shop ... not with the intention of checking on your SMSes

4. He lets you use his razor to shave your legs ... and change a new one immediately
5. He remembers your birthday and what cake you like ... if only you like cake
6. He lets you drive his car ... not when/because he's too lazy to drive you around
7. He (sometimes) gives up the TV remote control and lets you watch what you want
8. He thinks it’s funny (and isn’t threatened) when you use a picture of George Clooney... however whoever you adore for that matter ... as your work screensaver
9. He offers to pick the kids up after school or enrichment classes so you don’t have to do it every time.
10. He carefully record grey’s anatomy for you – without the commercials – when you have to work late ... and expect you to do the same for him when he works late
11. He sides with you over his mother (sometimes anyway)
12. He rubs your tired feet and listen to the blow-by-blow account of your bad day at work
13. He lets you nibble from his plate ... not because he can't finish his portion
14. He sends you text messages to cheer you up at work
15. He goes to the convenience store to buy your tampons
16. He lets you keep your childhood collection of cuddly teddy bears on the bed ... provided his figurines and robots are allowed too
17. He eats your homemade cake – including the black crust and hard icing. And asks for a second piece
18. He doesn’t smirk when he sees you in old T-shirt .... he just laughed his head off
19. He calls when he says he will ... and ask you to call him back
20. He saves up to buy you diamonds instead of red roses ... I prefer pearl though
21. He peels the onions so your mascara doesn’t run .... so that you'll still look presentable in front of his friends
22. He dries the dishes while you wash up after dinner, so you can shit-chat together
23. His favourite photograph of you is the one where you’re in jeans, a T-shirt and no make-up ... better still in lesser clothes
24. He says your smile is cuter than Cameron Diaz’s ... just to get you smiling
25. He let you give him a pedicure
26. He spots that DVD you’ve been wanting to watch for ages, and snaps it up for you ... it’s more like downloading for you nowadays
27. He admits you’re better at hanging wallpaper than he is ... not because he'd rather not being blame if anything go wrong
28. He even volunteer that you’re a better driver

29. He never dance in public for fear of embarrassing you
30. He joins a gym with you, so you stay fit together

31. He hasn’t worn his favourite cowboy boots since he discovered you can’t stand them
32. He gives you a kiss each morning before he leaves for work .. not because he wanted to check whether his breathe is fresh
33. He agrees to go clothes shopping with you – even though he’ll miss his favourite TV show
34. He waits patiently outside changing room while you try on almost everything in the shop ... not because he's trying to stay competitive with the bunch of guys waiting outside on who's the best partner
35. He values your opinion and proudly quotes you to people, or repeat the jokes at parties ... not because he has run out of jokes / topics
36. He accompanies you to supermarket on Saturday mornings to carry the bulging bags
37. He brings you flowers even if he hasn’t done anything wrong
38. He has two tickets to a major sport event. And there’s no one he’d rather go than with you.. not because he already expected you'll say no and know you'll ask him to go with someone else.
39. He willingly accompanies you to pre-natal classes
40. He stays in living room with you, even though you’re watching Bridget Jones’ Diary for the 10th time ... so that he can sleep at the comfortable sofa
41. When you get a new haircut, he notices (Okay, you may have to prompt him a little)
42. He lets you take your time dressing up and tell you how sexy you look after you’re done
43. He refrain from ‘scratching’ while watching football on TV
44. He offers to pick you up when you work late ... not because he wants you to join him for supper
45. He refrain from eating chocolate in the house when you’re on diet ... but eat it in front of you when both of you are outside
46. He takes care of everything when you’re in bed with flu ... except YOU
47. He lets you share the last biscuit in the house ... so that he can open the new PRINGLES
48. He doesn’t just roll over and go to sleep after you make love
49. He takes his turn being with the kids – from reading bedtime stories to taking them to the park on the weekend, so you can sleep in
50. When you feel the world is against you, you just know that he is on your side

ps. note that the writings in purple were meant to be fun =p ... please do not take it word for word

Work Work Work

Lately my workload in office has increased tremendously that I’m unable to find time to settle down.
Going into office is like entering a war-zone. Everything is critical. Everything is urgent.
All it’s like a whirlwind till it’s time to go home. Time is never enough no matter how much I do.
May be I’ve yet to master the art of prioritization. May be I’ve yet to be high enough in the ladder to delegate.
But trust me that when everything … yes, everything is just screaming ‘VERY CRITICAL’ and you’ve people to be answerable to … just everything is 1st priority.
And trust me, when you have no one to delegate to … it’s a matter of do or die. It’s like tai chi’ng the wrong way =p
Yalor.. I’ve only got myself to blame. While others worked hard and had their effort paid off .. being promoted, here I’m where I’m looking up at the ladder.. looking up at people waving to me & snigger 'see I told you so' … sad.
However, all is not gone…

At least I'm working in a harmonic environment.
At least I’m still surviving & enthusiastic about life.

At least I still have things to look forward to when I stepped out of the office glass door =)

When a man loves a woman

I'm pretty sure most of us would have heard of this song
'When a man loves a woman'

I read in a magazine that
'When a man loves a woman', his primary goal is to make her happy.

It was also mentioned that
'His mate fulfillment was the reward that make a man’s labour worthwhile'

someone care to tell me how true are these statements?
honest answer will be very much appreciated =p

next question .... when a woman love a man, her primary goal is ...............?

another of my 'yam gor' ... this is how I learn my chinese language =)
so it's not suprising that my chinese vocabulary is more lyrically-inclined =)
Do you think I can write a love letter in chinese characters? * * blink blink
