The land of pearl, the sky of casino – part 2

the highest peak in ‘zhu hai’ – the Chinese are great entrepreneur, turning a hill area to tourist spot with some stories and made-belief =)

the open air cable car which doesn’t stop to pick up but literally scoop our butts up. We’ll need to jump off immediately once it reaches the peak.

although the cable car is rocky and windy .. didn’t care much as I took this photo with both my hands. Thanks dear for taking the cable car with me =)

from atop hill .. this is the west .. east .. err … south side???

I cannot not mention this stone who helps to bring so much revenue to this tourist spot, apparently made famous by the ‘zhu hai yue lui’ folklore, many newly weds couples come here to ‘lock a lock’ to lock their love for each other. READ : tie down each other so that their partner will not stray =p Our country have a lot of stone like this hoh … err why not ….

n we came downhill by this – exhilarating

our guide with beautiful eyes .. very sweet & helpful =) see, told you zhu hai ladies are really pretty.

Bank of China .. we are staying at Bank of China

this stall selling oysters in bucket and they are extracting the oysters fresh, in front of you. Never have I seen this much of oysters

the seafood street .. fresh & cheap seafoods .. scallops and small abalone, you name it they have it … awesome

is this for cleaning the dishes after we finish our seafood meals?? No idea how is this cook and eaten. Wanted to ask but all the traders here are very fierce.

I bet you like this brand, don’t you? =p

Shopping area .. These shops may look ordinary. They are not. Tell them you want have a look at ‘3A’ … next minutes you’re lead through a so-called tunnel to another room. If it still doesn’t quite suit your taste, they say ‘we have some more choices for you’ and poof, there you are in yet another room… wah lau, salute man.

went for full body pressure point massage for the first time … ticklish at some point that I couldn't stop laughing & wriggling … ‘pai seh’. Although at some point, I feel like being ‘chak guat’ but it was really a relief after a whole day of travel.

although the exterior looks abit .... but it is a very professional massage center … no hanky panky I think

McD & KFC … need I say more?? Yes, they do have pork burger for breakfast =) Their premium grilled chicken sandwich for supper is yummy =D

It was already 12am yet we still walk out from hotel .. we thought the happening place is nearby but we were wrong, it is some distance away. Strange, I see many girls walking alone in the middle of the night. This place is simply haven for those who enjoy clubbing and nightlife. Full of open air bar with canopy and lots of beautiful girls who can really drink. They are certain group of girls that wear all black & another group all white.

After a walkathon and McD supper, we realized it’s about 2am and decided to call it a night.
… more stories when I wake up tomorrow =)

The Sea of Pearl, The Land of Casino .. Part 1

Crazy us do crazy things together for countless time … and this is just one of them =p
Going to the airport at 3.30am and we are rushing to finish the 1000 pieces puzzle from 11.30pm.
While I dozed off at around 1am++ dear only managed to catch 40 winks at about 2am++.
Me woke up feeling dizzy and nausea. Wasn’t sure whether because lack of sleep or too excited or the muscle relaxant I took for my neck ache. Dear made a cup of hot chocolate for me but it ended being thrown up by my naughty stomach.

Upon reaching LCCT, we went to collect our boarding pass and check in our luggage. Sausage McMuffin with egg was never this nice. Like a kiddie taking plane for first time, I was restless at the boarding area. Once out of the boarding gate, I was snap-happy

The propeller of Air Asia airbus ... capture while ascending the flight of stairs.

Sleek interior with sleek air stewardess.
This is the stewardess that showed us how to put on seat belts, how to use the life jacket and where to exit for emergency.

Up on the plane, I was up looking out from the window when the plane takes off. It was a magnificent feeling … like a dream come true. I was overly ambitious hoping to finish 2 magazine on the plane but ended sleeping after a few flips of pages =p

at the break of daylight ... very hard for me to describe how beautiful is the sky =)

Watching the sky turning bright is amazing.
Without food on Air Asia, clouds do look a lot like white candy floss outside the window.
I woke up many times fearing that I miss the beautiful clouds outside.

I didn’t dare to blink my eyes when the aeroplane land because I do not want to miss a thing. Macau landing strip is superb.. like a four lane highway, sea on both sides.

Walking towards the arrival gates, this very colourful ferris wheel greeted us. See the guard there… he was asking us not to take photo ...hehe =p Breaking the rules even before entering Macau =p

The city

The Harbour

The people live

I only knew there’s a place by the name Zhu Hai (literally translated from Mandarin as Pearl Sea) the moment I cross the border. This is how Zhu Hai look like from the border.

Streets on Zhu Hai are full of fair beautiful maidens. I was so worried ah…me sure lose hands down =p

‘Zhu Hai Yue Nui’ – the very touching love story about a girl who live in the sea fall in love with a fisherman. For they are deeply in love, ‘Yue Nui’ beg the Sea God Mother to be able to be together with the fisherman on land. Seeing the sincerity & pureness of their love, Sea God Mother gave ‘Yue Nui’ 10 pearls that must always be together. Any missing pearl will cost ‘Yue Nui’ her life.
However, jealous villagers who soon found out about a fisherman falling in love with ‘Yue Nui’ weren’t too happy. They villagers kept insisting that the fisherman should ask for a pearl from ‘Yue Nui’ to prove her love to him. They created many rumours about ‘Yue Nui’.
Fisherman blinded by rumours, requested for just a pearl from ‘Yue Nui’. She explained that she’ll need all 10 pearls in order to be with him. Fisherman under the influence of villagers was too disappointed with ‘Yue Nui’.
‘Yue Nui’ decided if 1 pearl is all fisherman want from her to prove her love, that’s what she’ll give him. Fisherman realised how true is ‘Yue Nui’ love for him but it was too late… really too late.
It was believe that someone sighted ‘Yue Nui’ offering pearls in the ‘Zhu Hai’ (Pearl Sea) and Fisherman went up the highest peak in Zhu Hai hoping to see ‘Yue Nui’ but he never saw her anymore.

‘Yue Nui’ monument is at the sea while Fisherman monument is on Zhu Hai highest peak. Some say it shows just how deep and how high is their love for each other.

The land of pearl, the sky of casino – part 1

to all gemini babies...

This came a bit too late... I know
But isn't better late than never? :)

Gemini
The third sector of the zodiac, Gemini is all about intelligence and communication.
You're born under this sign and have a talent for and love of using your minds and expressing yourself fully.

As a Gemini, you are a bower bird, mentally, and take an interest in all sorts of different things. Anything that gets your mind ticking over will grab you.
You constantly try to challenge your mental abilities and will make extra efforts to understand anything you put your mind to.
You can’t understand why other people don’t feel the same way.
To you, this kind of stimulation is your life blood. Anyone who engages you in quick-witted and thoughtful banter will win your heart for sure.

Some great communicators are born under your sign — actresses Helen Hunt and Marilyn Monroe, for instance. Like them, you take interest in anything that requires a little brain power.

Reading and ferreting out information on the internet are a perfect way for you to unwind. Communication would have to be one of your favourite pastimes.
Taking up acting classes wouldn’t be a bad idea either, even if you don’t fancy yourself as an Emmy Award winner.
Meeting new people and sharing your thoughts and feelings with them is enough of a blast for you.

Not all Geminis have brains on the brain, though. Anna Kournikova, the tennis superstar, proves that — she puts her focus into physical exercise.
She is a superb tennis player which requires physical dexterity and mental agility as well. Gemini is also on the top of the list of achievers in sport. But the sport you get into will be one that requires a strategic and intellectual approach. If it doesn’t, it won’t sustain your interest.
Tennis, chess, golf and card games like bridge and canasta appeal to you.

If you could be accused of anything, it would be that you spread yourself too thinly, by being interested in too many things.
To some people, you seem superficial and flighty. It’s the ‘rolling stone gathering no moss’ thing — doing a bit of this and a bit of that and not getting deeply into any one thing.
You see it differently, of course. To you life is a smorgasbord, and you’re going to taste everything. Trying just one main course, so to speak, isn’t your thing.

Variety, diversity and experimentation are some of your key words. And you can always say, ‘At least I’ll never be boring!’
The fact that you take on so much also means you risk wearing yourself out and letting your vitality engine slow down. It is not easy for you to pace yourself, but if you can get your self-discipline working on this, you can achieve more than most. Make sure you have enough fuel in your gas tank to get you to where you want to go.

People always love your company — your adaptability makes you interesting. People are amazed at your versatility, at the way you manage to juggle so many different activities.
Is there anything you don’t try your hand at? They wonder.

Learning will always be one of your passions — you don’t believe there’s ever a good time to limit someone’s desire to improve their mind. You have a great love of the written as well as the spoken word, and will often put pen to paper — or hands to keyboard — to get your own thoughts down.
Sometimes this is just so you can work out what you think about a particular issue or event.
Lots of journalists, writers, and advisers are Geminis; their way with words is their best tool for making a lasting impression. You also have a strong connection to travel and short journeys. You’ll often feel restless, and your itchy feet will set you wandering.

These journeys may not be long, but there will be plenty of them — you’re always on the go. You are thirsty for new experiences, and even on short journeys or in transit, you’ll throw yourself into meeting new and unusual people.

You’re fascinated by psychology and the way human relationships work, so you will seek a life partner who is as into communication as you are. You will need this sort of person if you are to achieve emotional fulfilment.

You are the type of person friends and relatives turn to for advice on their love life. This has an upside for you too — it helps you understand what’s going on in your own life, romantically speaking.

Geminis seem to grow younger rather than older. Physically, you will maintain a youthful glow, and you will never lose your fun-loving liveliness. You’re really not into that 'growing old gracefully' thing.

Vitality and constant stimulation are what you are about. A peaceful old age is definitely not your cup of tea (even if you happen to be over 60).

3rd anniversary

Today mark the 3rd anniversary of this blog..

Knowing how forgetful I can be ... this blog at many times reminded me of pages of my life.

It helps to keep my mind occupy at times when I needed to prevent my mind from negative thoughts.

Maintaining and updating a blog is not difficult but neither is it easy... somehow I'm just glad I didn't stop nurturing this now 3 year-old blog.

and thanks alot to you (yes, YOU) for coming by. It may be what keeps me going.

Hopefully, I'll still be updating anniversaries upon anniversaries ....

I do not mind looking back at the silly things that 'mama' do or 'grandma' do with my kiddies and grandkiddies. Cause that's when I can tell them "yalor, that's why don't be so silly like mama / grandma. I'm sure you can do better right? "

For you, mummy

Mummy,
Especially for you mummy.
I love you always.

Because you love me

I know I’m a strong girl because mummy, you told me so. Actually mummy, I’m so much stronger. All your daughters are strong girls, just like you.
Mummy, I know you always have your own ways loving us and guiding us.
And I know it’s always the best you give us.

I’ve learnt from you that life is full of ups and downs. That the sun will shine after the rain.
Another rain may come but there will sure be shine after the rain.
I’ve learnt from you that we shall stand up again after we fall and continue walking.

We know you’ll be looking after us from above … blessing us with love and abundance.

Mummy, we may not be perfect children and we will never be. We may not perfect parents and will never be. But put us together and we will be the best combination we would ever be.

Mummy, I love you always…… this is all I need you to know.
And we’ll take good care of daddy.

Because you love me

For all those times you stood by me
For all the truth that you made me see
For all the joy you brought to my life
For all the wrong that you made right
For every dream you made come true
For all the love I found in you
I'll be forever thankful mummy
You're the one who held me up
Never let me fallYou're the one who saw me through, through it all

You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you loves me

You gave me wings and made me fly
You touched my hand I could touch the sky
I lost my faith, you gave it back to me
You said no star was out of reach
You stood by me and I stood tall
I had your love I had it all
I'm grateful for each day you gave me
Maybe I don't know that much
But I know this much is true
I was blessed because I’m love by you

You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you love me

You were always there for me
The tender wind that carried me
A light in the dark shining your love into my life
You've been my inspiration
Through the lies you were the truth
My world is a better place because of you

You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you love me

Would like to thanks all of you for being there for me always. I may not have the time to reply to all your messages but please be assured that I’ve received and read all the messages sent.
I’m touched by all of your thoughtfulness and sincerity.
It’s with all your support and care that I stood up again after falling down.
Need not worry as I’m starting to sprint a little already.

footprints in the sand

One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it: "LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."
The LORD replied: “My son, my precious child, I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

we reap what we sow

I fall in love with this story the moment I read it .... very meaningful

A successful business man was growing old and knew it was time tochoose a successor to take over the business.
Instead of choosing one of his directors or his children, he decided to do something different. He called all the young executives in his companytogether.
He said, "It is time for me to step down and choose the next CEO. I havedecided to choose one of you."
The young executives were shocked, but the boss continued, "I am going togive each one of you a SEED today -- one very special SEED. I want you toplant the seed, water it and come back here one year from today with whatyou have grown from the seed I have given you.
I will then judge the plantsthat you bring, and the one I choose will be the next CEO."

One man, named Jim, was there that day and he, like the others, received aseed.
He went home and, excitedly, told his wife the story.
She helped him get a pot, soil and compost and he planted the seed. Everyday, he would water it and watch to see if it had grown.
After about threeweeks, some of the other executives began to talk about their seeds and theplants that were beginning to grow.
Jim kept checking his seed, but nothing ever grew.
Three weeks, four weeks, five weeks went by, still nothing.
By now, otherswere talking about their plants, but Jim didn't have a plant and he felt
like a failure.

Six months went by -- still nothing in Jim's pot.
He just knew he had killed his seed. Everyone else had trees and tall plants, but he had nothing. Jim didn't say anything to his colleagues, however.
He just kept watering and fertilizing the soil.
He so wanted the seed to grow.

A year finally went by and all the young executives of the company brought their plants to the CEO for inspection.
Jim told his wife that he wasn't going to take an empty pot. But she asked him to be honest about what happened.
Jim felt sick at his stomach, it was going to be the most embarrassing moment of his life, but he knew his wife was right. He took his empty pot to the board room.
When Jim arrived, he was amazed at the variety of plants grown by the other executives.
They were beautiful -- in all shapes and sizes.
Jim put his empty pot on the floor and many of his colleagues laughed.
A few felt sorry for him

When the CEO arrived, he surveyed the room and greeted his young executives.
Jim just tried to hide in the back. "My, what great plants, trees and flowers you have grown," said the CEO. "Today one of you will be appointed the next CEO!"

All of a sudden, the CEO spotted Jim at the back of the room with empty pot. He ordered the financial director to bring him to the .
Jim was terrified. He thought, "The CEO knows I'm a failure! Maybe he will have me fired!"

When Jim got to the front, the CEO asked him what had happened to his seed.
Jim told him the story. The CEO asked everyone to sit down except Jim. He looked at Jim, and then announced to the young executives, "Behold your next Chief Executive! His name is Jim!"
Jim couldn't believe it. Jim couldn't even grow his seed. How could the new CEO, the others said.

Then the CEO said, "One year ago today, I gave everyone in this room a
seed. I told you to take the seed, plant it, water it and bring it back to me today. "But I gave you all boiled seeds; they were dead -- it was not possible for them to grow.

All of you, except Jim, have brought me trees and plants and flowers.
"When you found that the seed would not grow, you substituted another seed for the one I gave you. Jim was the only one with the courage and honesty to bring me a pot with my seed in it. Therefore, he is the one who will be the new Chief Executive!"

If you plant honesty, you will reap trust
If you plant goodness, you will reap friends
If you plant humility, you will reap greatness
If you plant perseverance, you will reap contentment
If you plant consideration, you will reap perspective
If you plant hard work, you will reap success
If you plant forgiveness, you will reap reconciliation
So, be careful what you plant now; it will determine what you will reap later.

Love knows no boundary

Today at Bangsar LRT station bus stop, I’m touched by the people I saw.
As I walked past the bus stop on my way to submit some documents,
I saw a couple … the girl leaning against the guy’s chest … the guy’s arms envelope the girl and whispered something to the girl. I see smile on the girl's face.
Thinking it’s another PDA (Public Display of Affection) by a lovey-dovey young couple, I didn’t pay much attention to them.
It was later however, on my way back that I saw that
The guy with his arm stretch out was holding the camera phone for the girl
While the girl communicate with someone over the phone using hand sign language.

And at that spur of the moment, I feel warmth in my heart.

Love means we love the person as a whole, weaknesses, impairments and all.
Love in its truest form knows no boundary … nothing

life's little pleasure too

Gardening ... I know it sounds like a hobby for the retired ... but I grow to love this process of renewing life - planting, nourishing, nurturing and watching them (the plants) grow.

Guess it's either me getting old (aging) fast or me 'hangat hangat tahi ayam'. Either way, it's still an inexpensive hobby to start with and helps to green the world =)

Wonder how these plants had blossomed?? Stay tuned :) hehe

life's little pleasure

I love the feel, the colours, the environment & the diversification in this photo :)

I was very happy feeding the fishes when this photo was taken. I fed 3 packets of fish pellets (1 packet sponsored by Addy) while waiting for the rain to stop.

This is what I called life little pleasure. I didn't know that I could have a great deal of fun feeding and watching fishes eat.
