Lost at nowhere

me lost my way last saturday night..

me don't like being lost especially
when me don't know where am I at all,
on the road where there's no one to ask.
and when try to turn back, do not know how to go back to the place me started.
when call to ask for direction, unable to tell where exactly I'm
at night, when all the road looked the same to me
when all the road signs never read the destinations me wanted to go to.
when try to follow other cars but don't really know where they lead me to.
when it's getting a bit late
when there's someone waiting for you
why am I that bad at recognising route?
why do me need to go to a place many times then only can recognise the route?
why me only know how to reach the destination me want to go and don't know how to detour to other places
must be because me always never pay attention in car ...either sleeping or busy talking..
that's the price to pay..

the price to pay
but like they say 'nothing ventured, nothing gained' right?

blind marathon

read in The Sun recently that there were a blind marathon held in KL for fundraising and all participants manage to finish the race with their eyes blindfolded.

running a 3-km marathon with eyes blindfolded would be an adventurous attempt.
me don't think me can stroll blindfolded for 1-km.

who knows, me might be just walking around in circles :p

EPF withdrawal options

Well, it may be some 30 years away, or the options may no longer be the same, or we may have something better than EPF,
but for meantime, would like to share what are the available withdrawal options :)
just in case some of us wondering what is EPF, it stands for Employee Provident Fund.

EPF withdrawal options
· full withdrawal.
· partial lump sum withdrawal and the balance paid out on a monthly basis to the member for 5 years with a minimum payment of rm200 per month.
· monthly payment for 20 years with a minimum payment of rm100 per month.
· withdrawing only the dividend every year leaving the principal sum in EPF account

all savings that remains with EPF will be entitled to the annual dividends.
for last year, the EPF dividend rate was 5%

what a great thing to happen !

great things always happen to me, really :p
and the great thing about these great things is...
they almost always happen at some great moments and great places.

despite the fact that I'm never good at wearing high heel sandals
despite the fact that I'm 'chou lou' (cantonese word for unlady like)
despite the fact that me walk alot
I had never imagined myself breaking a PAIR of high heel sandals (not that high actually :p
on a
DATE
how on earth did I do that? hard to understand, right? :p

that's not all, when I sum up enough courage to laugh at myself for breaking my 'right' sandal, the 'left' decided to give way too ..too tired of supporting my weight gua
but it was not all bad
me get to buy a NEW PAIR of sandals at PASAR MALAM (a great place)
but the best of all, the person I love had seen me at my worst moments, what could be worser.

perhaps like someone told me "sometimes things may not seem to be what we wanted but there's always a reason to it"

what a good memory

perhaps it is true that when a person lost one of his sense, he tend to have other senses that are more receptive & sensitive.
just like how a person who can't see can hear 'more'

yesterday
I walked a visually impaired man from the bandar tun razak LRT station to his block of flats opposite bandar tun razak community centre.
since me heading that direction too to car, so me think why not?

me knew he lives on block B but me still asked him where's he heading to.
Actually this is the 2nd time me met him. The 1st time was like few weeks back.

as we walked together, me asked him about his job, about his daily travel, about his eyes condition and how he became visually impaired..etc
while he asked me about the traffic condition in KL, the development around town, the increase in petrol prices..

he then asked me
"suara cik saya macam pernah dengar. cik pernah bantu saya jalan sebelum ini dekat sini juga kan? "
what moved me was he can still remember I told him I work at Jln Raja Laut, KL
at that moment, me feel 'gam zhuk'
the feeling is like "me may not have done many great things, but he made me feel at least I had done something meaningful. something so small and yet it meant something so great.

When we reached the stairway up to block B,
he said "kalau lain kali, cik nampak saya, kalau tak susah boleh cik teman saya jalan? kalau saya jalan seorang, sunyi"

while walking to car, me thinking
boleh..sure boleh
what's this compare to a person who cannot see but remember your voice and where you work when all you did was walked him home once

but the problem is
I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT'S HIS NAME

What a great idea??

Read in the papers the other day
" Charity group banks on horseracing to raise funds "

a great idea? yes? no?
at first glance, me was thinking " wah, if charity fund all kalah habis how? "
however, when me think further, it can work like this
" if horse 1 wins the race, the organisation pledge RMB 1000 "
" if horse 9 wins, the organisation pledge RMB9000 "

come to think of it, it doesn't matter what they do as long as at the end of the day, the funds are raised successfully.
