With or without ‘will’

Under Malaysia Law, if you are single and die without leaving a will, your parents get the entire estate.
If you are married without kids, your parents and spouse each gets half of it.
If you are married with kids, your spouse get quarter and children get half while remaining quarter goes to parents.

Good to know, if the content of my will is according to what you have written then is that means I'm wasting my money to get a professional to write my will???

hi west, depends on how you look at it =) the individual may want to consider the time factor for one.
Secondly, if there's a will drawn up, the will prevail should any parties contest.
Without a will, the contest may go on and on due to no will to dictate the distribution.
Again, will can range from very simple to complicated.
