Human capitalist

heard of venture capitalist? what about human capitalist?
(please don’t get me wrong, I’m not referring to human flesh business)

Now, there's a new asset class .. human capital.
meaning instead of us investing in stocks (equities), bonds, unit trust, futures & options or forex, we can now put our investment on human's potential … productive capacity of human.

Here's an illustration how it works.
Ms.Smarty is looking for funds to complete her MBA.

She applies a contract, going through a rigorous screening that includes a review of her academic transcripts, an essay & an interview.
If she seems promising, the company will invest in her intellectual stock and mentor her, and she will pay between 1% - 4% of her accumulated net worth for every US$10,000 she receives, for up to 15 years after graduation.

If Ms.Smarty makes million, her payments will be hefty. If she earns nothing, she pays nothing. That’s a wager

Although pharmaceutical companies used to finance research and venture capitalist look for top talent at top school, this is the 1st time future earnings instead of current assets is considered as collateral for funding.

Who win, who lose or draw in the long term, we do not know.
May be Nobel laureate Milton Friedman who first floated this concept knows best.
