What had I done?

It was lately when I dye my father's hair that I realised
that my father's hair is getting thinner
and his grey hair is getting more
and that makes me ponder, it got me reflecting
"What had I done for my parents?"

and I couldn't find an answer ...
I honestly do not know what had I done for them ...

But I think I'm not spending enough time with them ...
and that I didn't tell them that "I love them very much"
and that I lied to them at times because I didn't want them to worry too much

What had I done? ... that may not matter anymore
What will I do? ...
I only know I want the best for you, mum & dad. I love you
