- To be happy
- To be respected & worthwhile member of society
- Good job & income
- Roof over head
- Money for nice things eg. holidays
- Good friends & partner
Things parents want for themselves
- They want to feel that they are doing a good job being your parents
- They want to discuss issues with you in a clam, reasonable way
- They want you to love them & appreciate all they have done for you, beside maintaining a good relationship with you for the rest of their lives.
- They want to be proud of you
now me realised 'our parents' wants are centred around us too. They too need our assurance that they did a great job, that we love them and appreciate what they had done for us =)
