the rich will only get richer?

There’s a saying that the rich will only get richer... is it true?
However, I seem to get a clearer picture of how this work.

Take for instance …
In some organization, there will be email announcement when who & who’s beloved passed away (moved on).
However, it is mostly for big mole (translate into Cantonese dai lap mak)

And there will be an account no. for people who wish to contribute ‘white gold’ (in Chinese)
So far, I’ve not seen any email sent out for normal staff like us.

It makes me ponder,
1. Usually the big mole are mostly more well to do and have the means & are capable of providing a good funeral rite for the deceased.

2. Switching to the normal average staff point of view, we earn just enough and in times like these, may need a little more financial helps. But there were never an email sent so far. Is our beloved not as important a person to us too?

But of course there are always 2 sides to a coin.
3. If there are email announcements for every beloved that moved on in huge organisation, there may be many mails in our inbox. And we will be very busy replying mails or transferring funds.

But I think a fairer treatment will be better.

It’s either no email announcements are sent for staff of all level
OR
Send email announcements for all staff regardless of level
(again, this may lead back to point 3) but people will decide for themselves as to whether they want to act on the email received.

I for one, do not like this kind of discrimination.
To me “Discrimination in any professional way is still a discrimination.”

you can't send to everyone because NOT everyone will know who is deceased.

next question is, EVEN IF you know who it is, are you close? would you want to give "pak kam" to those who you don't know?

in my company, they will pass around an envelope for people to give "pak kam".

so like you said yourself, its up to your own digression to want to give the "pak kam" or not instead of considering yourself as KPC (ke po chi) and give "pak kam" eventhough NOT notified.

well, lawsh that is true. but the main point stressed here is discrimination between high level and low level. for me, if close, give more, if not close give less...haha. I discriminate everything. :P

su, u mean email is sent to everyone in the company in case some big mole pass away?

judge dredd : 'you can't send to everyone because NOT everyone will know who is deceased.'.... exactly the point, this organisation..they are sending to every single staff with email throughout the country.

the envelope passing is a better idea.

anehoic : hehe..my english is bad for different intepretation.
Yah, my point is like you say, the discrimination between high level ppl and small fry.

as to your question, that is one example but guess what emails are sent to every single staff too when big mole's someone(next-of-kins) passed away.
