Lately, a friend shared with us that he has limited budget for 2008 as he'll have to pay installment for 2 cars.
I think he has given this issue a deep thought and is still thinking about it
He's looking for more affordable alternative for his past times (gym)
He's pre-empting us on the tightness of budget that he may not join for further overseas trip(s)
He's also looking for a value for money and fuel efficient car.

I personally think this is a good thing,
it's at times like these we tend to put ourselves in deep thought.
it's at times like these we grow up
it's at times like these we appreciate the good lives we are having
It's times like these that pushes us forward
and not stay complacent where we are.
It's not that I'm saying that life should be difficult and full of challenges (no offence to those who like complacent life)
However, it's time like these that makes us look back with a WOW and feeling fulfilled,
feeling so proud of ourselves for we have not wasted our lives.

This holiday ...
I'm just proud of myself
For I've fulfilled my responsibilities
To take good care of myself

I've been for a full medical check up
I've been to a dentist (which I've not done for few years)
( btw, I'm still afraid of going to dentist =p
I've taken whatever measures needed
to keep myself strong and healthy

I've treated myself with rest and relaxation,
take time off from work
allocate more time for exercise
Make my room a better place (less messy)
I've helped my room to detox

I've done all my filing and budgeting
I've done alot of window shopping
not buying unneccessary items
taking stock of what I have and don't
what I really need and what I want

I've let go of some of my bad habits.
I've learnt to care more for others
rather than be a selfish me
I've learnt to give and take

And of course I'm thankful to have dear with me all the way

This holiday is and will be a worthwhile one
For it's not THE HOLIDAYS of the YEAR without a reason.

My Best Friends’ Wedding

December is definitely a good month for weddings.
It is the end of the year and festive seasons…. Everyone is in jovial holiday mode.

To me, attending a wedding is like giving blessings and well wishes to the new couples.
Nothing is happier than sharing love and happiness around.

(Although I love to attend wedding, I must say that it is quite taxing on my year ends budget as well) hehe…

Green all over

I’ve been decorating all the toilet on my office floor with plants except for the male toilet.

But once I get a chance to invade the ‘untouchable’ territory I will spread the green around.

I think the green cheer up the otherwise dull washroom environment.

When my colleagues praise the ‘kakak’(cleaner lady) for being so nice to put some greeneries in the toilet, I just kept quiet and GLOW =)

I always think she has the most beautiful voice.
Her voice can be powerful yet 'wen rou'. I think she's a beautiful lady too.

I know most of her more well known songs, my parents used to listen to her last time.

Sorry for the emotional post. It has been raining the whole day.

They no longer fight

They used to fight when they see each other. But now they no longer fight.

Fishy (Blue) is dead.

I wonder if they miss each other.

June and I witnessed an incredible kind of love before Fishy (Blue) die.

Fishy (Red) has been dancing around in funny pattern as if motivating Fishy (Blue) not to give up.

Fishy (Blue) was already not well and bloated. He doesn't have any more energy to fight.

Fishy (Red) didn't fight. Instead he linger around as it encouraging Fishy (Blue).

Unfortunately, Fishy (Blue) didn't manage to make it through.

My collegue Mr.Koh who gave me the pair of fishes has thrown the fish away .... saying a a sa sa ma ha (meaning rest in peace) early in the morning before I arrive at office.

I didn't manage to say goodbye to Fishy (Blue).

All I could do is just hope that Fishy (Blue) will rest in peace.

Even though they were not with me for long ... may be about 2 months but I 'sayang' them.

I didn't know what happened to Fishy (Blue) and what it has gone through.

But I'll take good care of Fishy (Red).

deprived childhood?

This is an urgent post. To be posted only today and will never be repeated.

After watching my previous post 'I don't wanna miss a thing' video from you tube.

My friend asked me a question which I find it VERY HARD to answer.

Friend : Of all the Walt Disney cartoons in the video, which one you like the best ah?

Me : Err... very hard to say lah

Friend : There are only a few only ma in the video, like that also cannot choose meh? Aiyah... only got Beauty & the Beast, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Alladin, Hercules & Mulan only ma. Why is it so hard to choose???

Me : Mmmm.... you see .... I think I've only watched and remember the story of Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty only. I've watch some parts of Mulan through the 'Colours of the Wind' music video. Ok, maybe a bit of Beauty and the Beast through music video at K-session.
Other than that, I don't really know the story of Beauty and The Beast, Alladin, Hercules and Mulan. Never watched before ma.... how to tell like which one?

Friend : What??? Are you kidding??? You had a deprived childhood is it???

Me : Because I follow what my babysitter watch ma... so most of the time it's those Hong Kong series lah. I think I want to download those Disney classics and watch.

Friend : yes, you should and please don't tell anyone until you've watched all of them. Salute for you girl!!!

Stumbling upon this bola-bola pics, I have a story to tell =p

but first promise me you'll forget the story as soon as you close this blog for today ....promise?

When I was just like that age or maybe a little more bigger,

my parents bought me to Yogoso or Yosogo (too small to remember)

a shopping centre with bola bola pool for kiddies.

As playful as I'm even since small, I cried and begged that my parents pay

so that I can go in and play.

At last my parents relented and I darted into the pool like an 'arrow'

while mum and dad went for their shopping (or so I thought since no one came to help me)

While I was swimming aca aca in the pool of bola-bola, there's this little girl who keeps on pushing me down, down and down.

The more I try to run away from her, the more she push me down under the bola bola till I could 'tahan' no more.

I was never the 'keep-quiet-when-being-bullied' type.

I fought back. Dare to bully me... I mai BULI BALIK lor.

I made a stupid mistake..

I should have checked that her parents were not watching before BULI BALIK...

It was too late because by the time I realised,

someone had actually grab hold of my hand and hit my upper arm

half shouting at me 'DON'T YOU EVER DO THIS AGAIN' in Cantonese.

and carried their daughter away.

I was expecting my parents to stand up for me but I can't find them.

That naughty little girl started it first.

I felt like crying but I think

the bola bola also side me and told me

" Come have fun girl =) don't care about them "

hehe... I guess that's how I learnt to stand up for myself =p

During then, I may have blamed my parents for not being there to stand up for me.

Now, I think otherwise.

Note of advise : actually BULI is no good, neither is BULI BALIK
