Lotus seeds

Tried fresh lotus seeds before? Those fresh peel from lotus seeds pods. It’s one of my favourite fruit (mm…think it’s a type of fruit gua). Used to buy them in small town in Perak for instance Pusing, Kampar, Tapah or Batu Gajah. Usually selling at RM0.80 to RM1.00 for a bunch of 4 or 5 pods.
Young seeds are sweet, however mature seeds tend to be bitter. To remove the bitterness, we just need to remove the dark green shot in the middle of each seed.
Wonder where can we find them in KL? Do anyone of you happen to know?
Last time during college time, I know there’s an aunty selling this on her bicycle near Petaling Street but I don’t think she’s selling there anymore. Most probably she’s enjoying her life as a grandma now =)
