if really nobody eat, then I eat alone lo or give some to the dogs & cats for Chinese New Year..hehe

"accidentally fell in love"

Can a person "accidentally fell in love" with another?
enlighten me please ya =)

3rd day at camp

22/1/05

6.00am : warm up exercise & team race started. Suprisingly running 5km with team is not as tiring as running 2.5km alone. Perhaps we had more support & we brisk walk more than jog ..hehe

8.00am : breakfast - with lots of bread & hotdogs

9.00am : jungle trekking which is 20 minutes drive from our site. this trekking is a bit more difficult as more steep, more slippery and have many small streams. According to the facilitator, there are orang asli so we had to be careful. We were to look for 'petai' (yup those petai with strong odour) we were told that orang asli here depend on petai and other jungle resources as their source of income. we had 'AWAS' team which comprises guys to help other participants cross difficult path.
At 1 point of time, all the ladies were in front as the AWAS team let all ladies go through first.
2 ladies in front screamed, apparently they bump into an orang asli who was holding a 'lembing' like weapon. The orang asli looked angrily at us & instructed all of us to squat down. We had 2 malay guide who basically did nothing but stand most far behind the team. All of us were quiet.
the orang asli asked something that sounds like "kenapa kamu orang datang tempat aku?"
when no one dare to answer, the orang asli started pointing at people for answer.
one of the man answer "kami buat aktiviti tuan" (in my heart, I was thinking whether orang asli understand what is aktiviti).
orang asli said "apa? TIPU!! apa kamu nak? " and pointed at another target, this time a female
"kita buat kegiatan teamwork tuan" (again in my heart, does orang asli understand what is teamwork).
orang asli shouted "TIPU!! kamu masuk tempat ku, nak ambil ku punya pokok, petai, bukan?"
our team leader answered "tuan, kami hanya nak tengok, nak belajar, tak usik, tak ambil"
orang asli "TIPU!! dulu kamu masuk, kamu ambil, kamu kotor tempat, kamu penyakit, bini abang kijang mati. sekarang abang kijang nak satu perempuan tinggal sini"
no one dared to move. but we were wondering how come the facilitators nor the guides were all standing behind the group & not helping us. could this be a play, part of the programme.
the orang asli suddenly pointed at a lady (who usually had the most complaints). the lady was frightened. We were too cause we couldn't determine whether the orang asli were real or fake.
lucky orang asli asked for the 'cincin permata' that's on her finger. She gave it with relief.
orang asli said "kamu ambil ini petai, pergi. jangan masuk lagi" and watched us while we cross their path. We were told not to look them in the eyes (which I had done several times while trying to determine whether they are real or fake)

12.15pm : realised I had fed a fat leech without me realising until I take off the socks. No feel at all only the sight of it very 'geli'.

12.30pm : clean ourselves & have lunch. We were informed have charity car wash later in the afternoon.

1.30pm : convention hall. the facilitator made a confession. the orang asli were fake. showed us how did we reacted during then. The lady got her 'cincin permata' back. we were laughing endlessly as we couldn't imagine ourselves telling orang asli words like "aktiviti, teamwork"

2.30pm : everyone was dressed aptly for the car wash. all prepared to get wet. only then we know car wash is where we are the 'cars' and will be washed. we were put to 2 rows facing each other. Each person will have to go zig zag through each team mate in the 2 rows.
people in the row are supposed to tell the 'moving car' this
" I sincerely like you because ....... "

really like a car wash as water (tears) kept flowing ... males & females alike
It was a great experience as we spoke sincerely from the bottom of our heart. our hearts are touched.
never before had I heard so much about myself from others... what they see in me, what have I done that impact others, what advise & encouragement they have for me.
never before I look so deep into a person and tell them what I see in them
never before I hugged & be hugged by so many people.
honestly, it feel so comforting & warm to be in someone's embrace.
... people with a bit more 'fat' are nicer to hug =P
... it's strange that when there's difference in height, people prefer to lift the shorter partner rather than bend down to hug =P (how I know? because I'm short loh)

It's for once that we put aside our differences & appreciate each other.
They were tears & lots of tissues. Everyone basically let down their defences & let the flow takes it course. We were not pressured by time. We say what we feel.
after the whole exercise completed, the someone actually said this
" men who dare to cry in public are actually much stronger than men who doesn't"
true? I'll leave that to you.

2nd day at camp

21/1/05
5.30am : my alarm woke up everyone in the room because I couldn't find the button. All alarm clocks were switched

6.00am : warm up exercise & race started. clocked 20.09 minutes for 2.5km. hehe.. ok la for grandma like me =P didn't know I can jog non-stop start to finish oh.

7.00am : breakfast - omelete was very tasty

7.30am : indoor activities

9.30am : Outdoor challenge - Eclipse .. a game of blindfold, a game of trust, a game where our candid funny actions were recorded by videocam.

12.30pm : lunch & rest

1.30pm : jungle challenges where we undergo 'military style' obstacles such as swinging plank, tarzan swing, commando crawl on rope, tightrope walk, crossing hanging tyres, climbing & crossing about 1 & 1/2 storey high of net. Have to ensure every team member pass. It was a great experience. Team support & focus is of utmost importance for these activities

4.30pm : yet another round of challenging actitivities especially for people with fear of height.
tightrope walk about 3 storey above the ground - one with a straight string to hold, another with hanging knots in at intervals (security measures taken as a bit more high risk). Last is flying fox where we slide down over the lake & kick our 'bad habits'.
don't know consider lucky or not, while doing the 'hanging knot' rope walk, my 'belayer belt rope' actually got entangle with the cable knot, I couldn't believe I had the gut to actually look down & shout to people holding the 'belayer rope' to tell them "the rope got stuck already, have to move over that side a bit. I cannot move liao". haha ... don't know why but other participants started clapping.

8.00pm : walk back from jungle to convention centre

8.30pm : dinner

9.15pm : indoor actitivities where we were shown the video recording. It was like watching "funniest home video". We laughed non-stop. one that I can remember clearly is a team leader actually give instruction to team member (who are blindfolded) "we have to go this direction" by stretching his hand & pointing his finger.. team members were at a lost & everyone started to feel his hand to get direction.

12.45am : took bath & everyone is asking for massage. slept as soon as pillow hit the pillow. There's a 5km team race tomorrow morning.

camping in bangalow?? part 1

the first question I was asked when I’m back
"you had been to torture camp ah?"
I was stunted. "Hah! I looked that bad meh?"

Yes, I did joined a 3 days 2 nights team building camp from 20/1/05 to 22/1/05.
These are some of the most memorable days so far in my life.
Was basically all out, exhausted, battered ... muscle pain & bruises all over the body
(yalah, for people like me who never exercise at all)
actually by the end of the camp, almost everyone was limping
even simple action like walking, climbing the stairs, going to the loo requires huge effort.

20/1/05
woke up 5.30am. reached BP station near Eastin Hotel where I'm supposed to wait for my friend at 6.45am.
After signalling my father to leave, I received SMS "I'll come 8.15am".
If can, I wanted to be pettrol attendant for that 1 & 1/2 hour to earn some hourly wages. Waiting has never been that long. I was like a backpack traveller with nowhere to go.
Had breakfast with some other participants. Bus strated its journey about9am.

We reached Trolak - Perak at about 11am++. We were ushered to the convention centre where we were briefed outline of the camp, objectives, ground rules.
We later checked into Anona bungalows with 3 rooms (each with 4 or 3 beds) - luckily we don't have to erect tents =P There was 1 bed left in the room where 3 aunties in their 40s ... so I joined them. It was blessing in disguise as I suddenly had 3 temporary mothers who took care of me so well. I'm the youngest participant..hehe =P

camping in bangalow?? part 2

Back at the convention hall, we were divided into 5 groups with 7 members each. After electing headmaster, headmistress & the first aid man, we were given 1st assignment - to set up a company & held a press conference.

My team members include :
Nelson (team leader) - a tall & sturdy indian guy who can really speak
Michelle - a divorce who is multi-talented .. drawing, singing, dancing and have good balancing skills
Caroline - has great stamina & has very good ideas
Rosaline - A mother of a son & daughter, very petite lady with very good English.
Duncan - helpful guy with great strategies & executions
Goh - a father of 2 daughters who took up the challenge

After lunch, 5 companies were formed dealing with sanctuary spa & resort, matchmaking, property development, teenagers training centre, burger franchising system. Every company had its own warcry.

Outdoor activities
We were led to the obstacles field where the physical challenges started & we never looked back since then.
The facilitator cautioned us of neccessary measures.
Each team has 3 opportunities to complete the obstacles else will be disqualified.

camping in bangalow?? part 3

Swinging plank
How : members, one each at the end of swinging plank. Plank width can only accomodate my shoe. We have to balance ownself and walk towards the middle (holding & grabbing not allowed) and cross path before proceeding to the opposite end of the plank where you started.
Comment : looks easy but when there are 2 people on the plank, it's tough to balance ourselves & to cross path in middle especially grabbing is not allowed. lucky all in our team managed to get through on 1st attempt.

Trust Walk
How : There are 2 pieces of diagonal planks that are placed about 6 feet apart. If you fall, you will be covered with mud. 2 team members are supposed to cross the diagonal planks together. Have to figure out how to cross.
Comment : Initial, no one came out with the right strategy except 1 team. They sold their ideas to other teams for an amount of rm30k out of rm50k ( ya, we transact in term of RM)
the strategy is to have 2 members about the same height, lean against each other through their palms by putting entire weight against the other member palm. Requires a lot of trust & coordination.

Low bar
How : There are metal bars about waist length high, we are supposed to have every team member on the other side of the bars. Touching the bar in the process of getting everyone over will be a fault.
Comment : Our team was picked as the 1st team and was faulted for twice. Once because one of our name tag touched the bar. Second was because our 2nd last member pants touched the bar. Last attempt, I was just being tossed over because they say I'm too light. Goh basically lifted me, tossed me over the other side while the rest catch me. I knew they will catch me.
Only 2 teams managed through & we are one of them. It actually strenghten our team spirit & motivates us.

camping in bangalow?? part 4

Dinner time, we speculated on what will the night activities be. We were only told that they will bring us for a walk around the area for fireflies watching & to familiarise us to tomorrow race route.

After dinner, at the convention centre, each participant was given 2 piece of 'mahjong' paper where we were told to outline our career & life timeline on one piece, and write our bad habits in another piece. Instructions were given for us to have both with us all the time.
At night, about 10.30pm, we were lead to walk towards the jungle. There are 2 activities to be held in the jungle. Lucky the moon was full & bright =)

Candle light walk.
How : each time is given a candle, a match & a map. (no torchlight, no compass, no watches, no anything except our bad habits paper). We are supposed to find our way out from the jungle. with only 2 trees as identifying landmark. Of course they have experienced local guides.
comment : the map was the simplest map I had ever seen with 2 trees as landmark. In fact we got lost so many times, it all looked the same in the jungle at night. There were many times, we thought we had the right route only to come to dead end & back track. Back tracking, there's how we lost our way & direction. In fact, in the middle, a guard actually came to lead us back to the right track because we exceeded the estimated time. however, he didn't lead us out. He left us on our own again to find our way out.
estimated time is about 15 minutes to 20 minutes but guess what we took about an hour plus.
we were told that they almost wanted to launch for a search operation if we still did not appear.
Quite a thrilling experience as we only had 1 candle & a match stick. what if ???
Should have seen how tight we hold each other hands, how together we were, how we look out for each other.

Solo Drop
How : Each participant was dropped solo in various location in the jungle.. for us to reflect upon what we had done in the past, where we are in present and what we want in future. For us to oversome our fear & have some real 'alone' time. Again, no nothing except water bottle & our "bad habits". The facilitators actually told us some stories to 'scare' us
comment : there was one lady who was very afraid that she didn't want to join. However, the facilitators made it compulsory for everyone.
To tell you I'm not scared is not true, expecially when the guide suddenly pat on your shoulder and say "awak tinggal sini, jangan pergi mana mana"
However, I'm glad that it didn't take me long to overcome that fear as I started putting my mind to reflect on my past, present & focus on what I wanted in future. I even sat down & looked upon the sky ( the full moon brighten the sky). I did some deep thinking about everything about everyone that I disregarded the annoying mosquitoes. It was then I saw a pair of fireflies and I got their 'message'.
Not long after that, I see the guide with some other team mates came to fetch me. Didn't know why but during then, I hoped they gave us a bit more time to think more.
back at the banglo, everyone was queuing to take bath & sleep. We are to wake up by 5.30am tomorrow for the personal race. After taking bath, I couldn't sleep partly because my hair is still wet. Also I had lots of thoughts in mind that I wanted to record down. I sat in the hall as I don't want to disturb the rest of my room mates.

more to come for 21/1/05
more challenges, more emotional exchanges, more excitements ...

looks delicious

ice-cream steamboat

Do we have that in Malaysia?
sure very 'yummy'
can we go try? =)

chinese new year coming ... so they 'ketuk' me

17/1/05
Went to a tailor shop near UE3 to make some clothes for my mum.
I brought the 'kain' along and a 'sample'
After telling them that I want to make 3 pieces of the same design as sample, best possible can collect before Chinese New Year so that my mum have new clothes for new year.
so I asked about the price.
the lady asked the man tauke, the man tauke point to another lady,
the another lady then say "RMxx"
I repeated to confirm : RMxx for 3 pieces
the lady didn't answer but start writing receipt, but when write total amount
then only I know RMxx is for 1 piece.
try negotiate, last last they minus rm5x3 = rm15 only.
I know they 'ketuk' because chinese new year coming but I couldn't really find any other tailor that can help to make. Most of them don't accept order in small quantities or they can only accept order way after chinese new year.
so I willingly kena 'ketuk'

if my mum find out about it, she sure will scold.
but even if she scold, I will do the same also
and tell her what I always wanted to say
" because you are my mother"
" because may be I'm your daughter only in this life, so I want to give only the best to you"

Me don't understand

18/1/05
Evening about 7.30pm, as appointment, I met a prospect who's very challenging and difficult to manage near wisma genting. Me don't understand what's his motive. really don't understand ...
He called and said would like to know more about ....
this mr. is a friend of a friend (which is how he got my number)
told me that he's from outstation, will be in KL only a few days.
(I later found out he's a singaporean ... no wonder he has 'that' attitude)
this gentleman was very well dressed complete with coat & tie.

before start he already announced that he know so & so from which & which financial planning association & federation, which & which fund houses, which & which insurance company and has some dealings with them. he said "so I don't actually need you to tell me about ...."

he then said "by the way, I'm a CFP (Certified Financial Planner), licensed holder of so & so, I was previously an insurance agent for which & which company. We had set up a consultancy firm specializing in financial planning too. "
(can't remember all that he said .... may be I choose not to remember)

when the drink & food come, he got another round of things to say... about he don't take this & that (really health conscious). I regretted not being brave enough to ask "why order then?"
He presented to me his product & service, some health scanning machine and that his company hope to work together with financial planners so that can provide health care scan to potential policy buyer.
He then talked (although I would like to use the word brag) about his achievement, about his investment plan that guarantee 40% ROI on 1st month, return on capital 2nd month & 3rd month onwards, regular income of USD300.
he said : I'm enjoying passive income now. I can stop work anytime. have you read robert kiyosaki this book & that book, also warren buffet this book & that book... warren buffet say this, robert kiyosaki say that...
he added : you don't need to tell me anything. no use. I'll probably know what you are going to tell me. your product can never beat the investment plan I just told you.

despite all the challenges, I would like to thank this gentleman
for giving me such a straighforward advise that "you are still 'green' .. this I agree but hey we all need to start somewhere right?
for giving me such challenges, so that I'll not be afraid anymore in future & know how to handle.
for telling me so many things that I didn't know I don't know.... such as investment instruments, regulation, quotes from those financial gurus.

pheww, I survived.
"what cannot destroy me can only make me stronger"

strange? not at all ...

Received a POSLAJU-ed wedding invitation today
It's from Belinda, my ex-collegue from UOA
Congratulations, Belinda !!!
She did call me for my address ... I thought it is for sending greeting cards
Her wedding ceremony (bridegroom side) will be in Chennai, India on 21st Jan 2005
while bride's side will be at brickfields on 29th Jan 2005

We human are strange ho. don't you think so?
We may not believe in marriage today, yet believe it tomorrow
We may not like some individuals today but we may marry one of them tomorrow

perhaps 'change is the only constant in the world' hoh

no electricity = no work

This afternoon about 12pm ++ suddenly all lights went off
Initially we thought the renovation people accidentally pull the wrong wire or accidentally turned off wrong switch ... they had been doing something the whole day since morning.

actually me feeling very happy when know it's actually a black out.
why wo?? no need to work ma ... sure happy la, in fact we sat & chatted
even told my collegue " I hope TNB not so efficient, take their own sweet time " hehe =P

suddenly, the painter who asked for MILO came over
and said "Satu Malaysia tak de elektrik la ... satu Malay..sia tau"
we asked "betulkah?"
he answered " betul lah, kita tadi ada telefon itu Klang & Petaling Jaya, tak de elektrik juga "
... then me wondering ... Klang & Petaling Jaya = satu Malaysia??

but what amazed me was that upon hearing that statement, almost everyone with handphone, took their handphones & started dialing don't know to who ... but everyone wanted to ask the same question
" ei, your place got electricity or not? "
then almost everyone didn't get through and asked
" why cannot call through wan, like network busy "
I think I know why network busy, sure loh ... everyone trying to get someone on the line to ask the same question ... typical Malaysians gua (ok la .. me included lah =P

some collegues who are out for lunch even called back to report that the place that they were at also ' no electricity '
ngam ngam today SOGO got pre-sales wo ... so many shoppers (including quite a number of collegues) were caught in SOGO sales without electricity so much so that SOGO had initially decided to extend the 1-day pre-sales till tomorrow
have to thank foong ling for helping me buy ... really trouble you.
only 2 lifts working so many ladies with big big small small SOGO plastic bags waited for quite some time.

one thing we don't like when no electricity... air cond not working .. very hot & humid ... don't know where to get fresh air. Everyone were chatting & fanning ourselves like in kopitiam.
we prayed very hard for the electricity to come back only around 5pm because it's about time to go home & KTM / LRT need electricity to be send us home.

We are not as 'gungho' as our friends ... who descended from 46th floor by stair for lunch
http://woosahh.blogdrive.com . really salute !!!

Black out like this light up our lives, don't you agree?? ^^!

We'll see what the authorities have to say.

1st day at work

12 Jan 2005 was my sis first day at work at the UE3 business park.
previously she had tried working as promoter during school days,
however this is the 1st time she's working in an office environment (although for temp)

before that I had actually tried to pursuade her to 'help ah jie build ah jie's business'
this is what she said : I work outside can learn to help you build business faster ah.
which is true, very true.
She'll need to learn by herself how's the world out there.

during then, the night before interview she asked a lot of questions like "ah jie, tomorrow interview wear what clothes? I don't have office attire wo. You think your clothes I can muat? "
" ah jie, I also don't have office shoe, can borrow me or not?"
" ah jie, tomorrow if they ask this & this question, how to answer? "
" ah jie, ......
(cannot blame her, cause I was like that too la... last time =P

lucky she didn't ask " ah jie, tomorrow can you go for the interview ah? " else I pengsan =P

After the 1st day at work, she looked tired so I ask " why look so tired? boss give you a lot of work ah? who dare to bully my mei mei? "
sister : " I very sleepy oh, jie. This morning wake up very early. today the girl teach me many things and ask me do many things. She today take half day leave wo "
me : now you know work 'not that easy' leh? (note me didn't use the word - susah) but you sure no problem la ... sup sup sui only ma ho.
she smiled but I know all these will make her a stronger person.

today was her 2nd day at work, and she brought home some work from office.
she didn't tell me, but I saw it on her table. I wanted to, but I didn't ask for I know she has her ways or solutions.
perhaps she's more of a perfectionist ... which sometimes make things tougher.
but I'm glad she's learning and growing very fast, even faster than this 'ah jie'

let's see what she says tomorrow =)

MILO macamana beli??

Office currently undergoing some renovation & beautification.
The wall near my place was painted I think during last saturday when I'm not working.
aiyoyo ... don't know how they paint??
my table, my files, my plants all kena white 'polka dots' like snowing... lucky PC not kena
wah ... to scrub those 'bintik bintik' don't know took how long already.
want to complain also don't know who to tell.

today lagilah after lunch ... although there are other collegues,
one of the painting assistant (don't know bangladeshi or from india) came stand right in front my desk, looked down and asked
painter : saya mau minum MILO, macamana beli?
me : hah MILO macamana beli??? MILO yang minum punya kah?
( - my mistake ... I thought he wanted me to 'ta pau' MILO for him. Then it struck me that he's actually referring to the MILO from vending machine at the pantry )
painter : ya, yang minum ... (then he pointed at the vending machine direction)
painter : itu macam mana beli, nak letak wang mana, pilih macam mana?
me : oh... itu ah... tak payah letak wang punya. ( I was actually laughing though I know not good to laugh)
painter : habis macam mana keluar?
I lead him to the pantry
me : u tengok sini, u suka minum apa, u tengok huruf & nombor, lepas tu tekan sahaja. dia akan bancuh. kalau MILO, u tekan C5. boleh?
painter : oh, tekan sahaja boleh. tak masuk wang. sorry saya tak tahulah
me : tak pa, sekarang u tahu, u nak minum boleh ambil sendiri loh

as we walk out from the pantry,
we bumped into his 'tauke'
tauke : (in cantonese) - jing shek tao yeh yam, kong nie yao mm zhou ... meaning only know how to curi minuman, kerja never buat.
I laughed and the painter laughed too though I don't know whether he understand
some more he tell 'tauke' - " boss, ini MILO manyak sedap oh. FREE punya, tekan sahaja "

If just a cup of MILO can make a person so happy,
I don't mind guiding them how to use the vending machine
but if the supplies in vending machine finish very fast,
please don't come looking for me =P

you recognise me??

Traffic light near Maju Junction, while waiting for the 'red colour man' to turn 'green colour walking man'
I think I saw a college friend of mine which has left for oversea to further studies.
Lost contact already but I can still remember his name as his surname " S'ng " as is very unique.
I was looking at him trying to confirm whether I got the right person.
I was caught looking at him so I smile lo hoping maybe he can recognise me.
but then he gave me a strange look wo ... may be thinking this person 'something wrong' punya
when I tried to walk nearer to him to ask whether are you " so & so"?
that ' green colour man' on the traffic light start moving liao and he cepat cepat cabut ... haha
I had at that time pondering whether to 'kejar' & ask ... but by the time I decided ... he went into the building liao.

If you ask me whether I betul betul recognise my friend - S'ng, I think I can be about 85% sure it's him ... hasn't change much.
but then my hesitation during then made me lost the opportunity to meet back my old friend.

so, please friends, if you see me looking at you trying to recognise you or smiling at you (especially when I'm without my specs)
please don't look at me as though I'll eat you
It makes me look a bit stupid though =P

unexpected

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, the 'zor lun yao lei' - alan tam & hacken li concert was postponed,
due to some unforeseen circumstances, chai yee wasn't able to watch the scheduled concert on 7/1/05.
Since doesn't want the ticket to be wasted, I was fortunate to be invited along by foong ling on thursday 6/1/05.

after addy getting some 'ying kong pang' ... neh, those sticks that will glow in the dark wan leh
we queued to go in. we were told 'cannot bring bottle water' . Soon yeng's mother (aunty) offer to put water bottles in her bag but with foong ling's & mine, the bag really looked a bit bulky.
at the entrance, our plot was foiled, they wanted to check inside aunty's bag ... so we had to take out the bottles loh ... really sorry to trouble aunty.

sitting next to aunty wasn't as 'restricted' as I thought. In fact, she actually led me through those 'sing along, clap along & ying kong pang waving' session.
I really let myself go because I enjoyed the concert very much till foong ling said "I think you high already "
nevermind the sore throat, hoarse voice and 'lenguh' arms waving 'ying kong pang' after the 1st session, nothing can stopped me from singing & replying to hacken & alan.
the songs by these 2 singers are very nice ... especially those old songs which I happened to grow up with ... my babysitter's son used to play alan tam's songs everyday without fail during the 1980s. Those songs brought back many many happy memories.

It was an enjoyable concert with 2 encores, although the 1st one was expected, we did not expect them to come back onstage for a second time.
got some tips from expert concert watcher.. mr.addy .. that concert's not end till they open the field spotlight (which is quite true wor =)
the second encore, we stood on the plastic chairs, sang our heart out & wave as vigorously. It was a superb concert with superb ending =)
aunty joined us as well and were singing & waving happily... it's so fulfilling to see our parents enjoying themselves ( wished my parents had the opportunity to watch too =)

This concert changed my perception towards concerts.
If you ask me whether I'll watch other concerts
"I will considering my budget"

maybe the chicken rice 'mm gao hao' ah ... we used too much energy singing, clapping & waving liao =)

thank you very much for the enjoyable night =)
I was very happy, and I heard what you said foong ling ... that you are happy that I'm happy.
'I am happy too that you are happy that I'm happy' =)

ps. addy, your cactus (and bonus ... money plant) from cameron get liao ... see when you free or whether want me to pass to anyone.

Repeat * #
Repeat * five times

爱在深秋

this is the last song at the concert closing

'jie jie don't bully me wor, I'll bring you to many beautiful places"

9/12/05 morning, cameron highlands
supposed to wake up, prepare & wake my parents up.
but maybe the weather very cold, very nice to sleep ... with those foam blanket
I didn't even hear my handphone alarm ringing, neither do I hear my parents waking up & started preparing to visit the 'chinese doctor'. I was basically sleeping like a log (as they put it)
I think I was dreaming when my father woke me at about 8.30am and said " faster wake up loh, pack and then we go .. late already "
but the strange thing is
my car is speaking to me in my dream
" jie jie, you don't bully me wor. I'll bring you to many many beautiful places "
apparently I thinked I dream about almost driving my car down a river (can't remember details)
makes me feel gulity for treating my car so badly =P

on our way back, I told my parents about the dream this morning, so my dad decided to buy the car registration number (you know la...who will forego chance to fatt choy oh)
and guess what ... just now, I heard my sister jumping with joy ... I asked why?
" ah jie, you see you see, our car number ah ... hahaha .... "
" ya wor, better ask daddy got buy or not. After no buy how? "

Although just a small amount, we are happy & excited.
and I think I understand what our car is trying to tell me
try imagining a car speaking to you in a child's voice
" jie jie, you don't bully me wor. I'll bring you to many many beautiful places "

" I'll take good care of you, car car "
I can't stop smiling ... I'm overjoyed =D

after expiry date, still can eat?

While searching for food in the fridge, found a packet of popiah wrapper ... new still not opened.
so I told my sister
" mei, today we make popiah loh, want or not? "
my sis : also not enough ingredients, also didn't buy & prepare, how to make?
me : aiya, simply make simple wan lah with what we have
my sis : still cannot la, ah jie ... you see, this one expiry date is 31/12/2004 wor (pointing at the date at the bottom of package)
me : ok wan la...this wan popiah wrapper only, a few days after expiry should be ok. If not try away whole package very waste
my sis : ya also wo, so we make another type la, wrap & fry then should be ok wan ho

I hope so lah, cause now everything in stomach liao ... maybe digested already

ps. I don't always eat expired food wan, only this time exceptional (depending the nature of the food).

Expired food may be harmful to our bodies

shopping vouchers !!!

If you ask me " you want vouchers or cash? "
I'll say " cash "
but if I'm not given any choice
I'll say " vouchers make me very happy as well " =D

last day of 2004 ... least expected ... still can get vouchers wan wo (don't worry me checked the validity already - not year 2004 ;P

passed to me in an envelope by senior at office ... 5 x rm20 denomination vouchers
win lucky draw ah??
no lah... me where got so lucky, hehe ... pandai pura pura efficient only ma ^^ !
not a huge amount ... but still can buy lots of FOODS
and a table fan.
thank you very much !! =)

A woman will pay rm2 for an rm5 item she doesn't need
while a man pay rm5 for an rm2 item he needs

wondering whether true?? =)
could be? =)

Husband & wife team

after work, I actually had a chat with the renovation 'aunty'
her name not 'renovation aunty' but I chat till forgot ask people name lah
nature of their project more towards wiring & 'backbone' setup.

this husband & wife team is really great ... has handled wiring projects for UOBM.
just in case, you are wondering how they looked like ... like normal grandma & grandpa
aunty said it's because "our work has quality, we complete on time and management can trust us"
this couple is about 50+ years old ... but both still very strong climbing up & down using walkie talkie. watching them work & communicate is eye-opening.
both has covered projects at various branches throughout malaysia and aunty knows more management & staffs than us.

we talked about everthing from how some management & staff treated them, enjoying life, driving & racing, korean series, working in bank, about cooking but nothing beat the joy of aunty when she talked about her children & her only grand daughter.
even asked her husband to play the recordings of her 3 yrs old grandaughter reciting chinese poems & singing over the handphone.

behind the successful husband & wife team, I see doting grandparents.
I realised it's not easy for them to clinch the deals & gain the trust of such a huge organisation.
In fact, aunty was actually complaining in front of uncle that they had not had lunch. and it was about 6pm.
Alas, I don't have any tidbits in my drawer, so the most can offer is a cup of coffee.
really salute them =)

short lunch long stories

It's amazing how we can eat & talk so much at the same time ...
hehe ... that's me only lah actually ;P

never had the chance to really talk with cheryl
but me decided to invite her for lunch today ... sad to say, tomorrow's her last day at work
she'll be doing her Masters in Australia.
a bit 'mm seh tak' but ' bertemu & berpisah adat manusia biasa' ma

over lunch today, it dawned on me that sometimes quiet people have more to say ... when given the opportunities or when they feel like 'opening up'

but through cheryl, I see many things ... for instance her loyalty to the organisation, her sense of belonging to her department, her gratitude and her enthusiasm for contribution & productivity .. which sadly all quite lacking in me ;P
(if I happen to be employer, I would like to have member like her in my organisation as well)

It was indeed a short lunch with long stories
IF ONLY we had more lunches earlier ....
